A fantastic mix of great food, great theatre and great service! Mumbai Platter was beautifully presented the meats were perfectly cooked, moist and packed with flavour. The use of dry ice added an extra wow factor, making it as visually stunning as it was delicious.

Its fair to say that just lately I've tried to move away from eating at the same places as i need to be more adventurous. So here we end up at Turaa's Indian Streatery. Ive ttied most of the restaurants in this 10 mile radius but not here. Without doubt, as the pics show, not your normal type of indian dining. I had a fabulous deep red Chicken Tikka Masala, lemon rice and cheese naan( loaded with cheese) We also had Mothers Butter chicken, chicken korma and, even though it wasnt on the menu, a Chicken shaslik served on a bamboo leaf and literally smoking, see pics. Definately a return visit is on the cards

Amazing good, amazing atmosphere and the servers were friendly and helpful. Still cant quite get over though how much is being charged for the poppadoms... 3 for an ‘individual portion’ which is basically less than one poppadom broken up other than some crazy prices, I would highly recommend

Went here with a number of overseas work colleagues who had never eaten Indian food before, we asked for an Indian banquet with a range of starters and mains. We left the choices up to the restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious If you wanted to try an Indian which isn't your typical local curry house, this place is a must

Visited for the first time this week. It is clearly a favourite with many as diners were very familiar with the owners. The food was amazing. We each had the Thalia and it was delicious and great to try a range of dishes. We will definitely be back.

Been wanting to try Turaa for a while now and wish we went sooner! Lovely food, best lamb chops I've ever tasted. The Railway Cabin Lamb was a perfect level of spice and the Butter Chicken had so much flavour! Would definitely recommend trying a mix of the small plates. Can't wait to return to try more from the menu! Great service, lovely decor and will 100% be returning.

Welcome to Turaa Indian Streatery, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Melbourne, at 71 Derby Rd, Derby DE73 8FE, United Kingdom. This establishment is rapidly gaining a reputation for its unique blend of traditional Indian flavors infused with modern presentation and an inviting atmosphere. As a food reviewer, I'm excited to take you through the vibrant experience that awaits at Turaa.

Step inside Turaa and you’re greeted by a warm, lively ambiance that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Patrons like David Proctor and Paul Davidson have raved about the friendly staff who bring not just service but genuine hospitality to the table. The moment you enter, you can feel the enthusiasm of the team as they cater to your every need, making it perfect for intimate gatherings or special celebrations.

One of the standout features of Turaa is their Mumbai Platter, praised by customers such as Shane Cousins for its masterful presentation and incredible flavors. The use of dry ice adds a theatrical flair that elevates each dish into an art form. The platter is a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the palate, showcasing perfectly cooked meats that are both moist and packed with flavor.

However, the culinary journey doesn’t stop there. You can’t visit Turaa without indulging in their acclaimed Chicken Tikka Masala or the rich and delightful Butter Chicken, as highlighted by Gavin Perry. Each dish embodies a perfect marriage of spices, showcasing authentic Indian cooking with a contemporary twist. And let’s not forget the indulgent cheese naan, so stuffed with cheese that it’s a must-try for every cheese lover!

Yet, an important note shared by Yasmin Green reminds us to be aware of the pricing nuances—especially regarding the poppadoms, which sparked some surprise. Despite this, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making it a place worth revisiting, as many are eager to do.

Turaa Indian Streatery isn’t just a meal; it’s a celebration of flavors, creativity, and culture. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a destination that promises satisfaction in every bite.
